USAC Viterbo celebrated its twentieth anniversary on April 21 and continues to provide university students with accessible and valuable study abroad programs, and has contributed to the internationalization of universities in the United States and abroad. In Viterbo, students find a welcoming medieval city ideal for visiting Italian cities such as Rome, Florence, Milan, and Orvieto. Students from any university are welcome to participate. The mission of USAC is to provide students with the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes to succeed in the global society of the twenty-first century. Viterbo is the ideal city in Lazio to offer an authentic and quality context in which students can grow as engaged world citizens, not only in the classroom but also through field trips, life and academic experiences, sports, internships, and volunteer and service-learning opportunities.

Director Francesca Del Giudice emphasized how these twenty years represent a shared journey born from the collaboration between Usac (University Studies Abroad Consortium), the University of Tuscia, and the city of Viterbo. She expressed gratitude to all the people who contributed to the success of the program, particularly to the Usac leadership and staff for their constant support.

Founded in 2006, the program has offered around 4.000 American students not only an academic experience but a true immersion in Italian culture and local life, making Viterbo a second home for many of them.

The twentieth anniversary of Usac Viterbo was celebrated in the Aula Magna of the University of Tuscia, in the presence of professors, representatives of the Municipality of Viterbo, and some of the American students attending the current course.
